COVID-19 Show Preparedness,
Prevention & Response
Our Commitment to Coming Back
The health, safety and well-being of our attendees, exhibitors, staff and community are our highest priorities, and we are committed to providing a safe and secure show experience by adhering to the federal, state, and local health guidelines.

To achieve this goal, we are working closely and collaboratively with our core vendor partners, including the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), Shepard Exposition Services, Maritz Global Events and Freeman AV.

Our plan is outlined below and covers all facets of the event experience.

Event Preparedness and Protocols
  • DSE will communicate specific health and safety information via its event website, social media channels and email.
  • All exhibitors, attendees, sponsors, speakers and partners will receive DSE’s Preparedness Plan, which will outline all the health/safety guidelines and protocols being implemented at the event.
  • DSE team will have regular check-ins with the venue, state and local public health officials for updates and additional guidance.
  • During the event, daily announcements will be made within the exhibit halls and conference rooms regarding health, safety, physical distancing and cleaning information.
Cleaning and Disinfection
  • Pre-show and on-site communication plans include compiled sanitization guidelines and procedures from vendors, facilities, and local governments.
  • Carpet will be shampooed prior to delivery and installation.
  • Pipe, drape, and table skirting will be cleaned using antimicrobial detergent prior to delivery and installation.
  • All common spaces will be cleaned and disinfected after on-site setup.
  • Deep cleaning and sanitization of all common LVCC areas, exhibit hall and conference rooms will occur daily during the event.
  • We will confirm all cleaning routines are performed with proper PPE (personal protective equipment) requirements.
  • We will place sanitizing stations throughout the event campus and near meeting rooms.
  • On-site signage will encourage hand washing and good hygiene for participants before and after human interactions.
Safety Requirements and Health Monitoring
  • Masks that cover both the nose and mouth will be required for all visitors (dedicated signage throughout the establishment will notify patrons that face coverings are required).
  • Temperature checks will be required at exhibit hall entry locations. Individuals with high temperatures will not be permitted into the event.
  • The requirement of temperature checks and masks will be communicated to all participants prior to the event.
  • DSE will establish and communicate a safety plan so that if a participant gets sick at the event, they understand immediately where to go and who to alert.
  • Event staff will conduct continual site inspections throughout the event to ensure the facility and participants are in compliance with all established protocols.
Registration Area
  • Advance online registration will be strongly encouraged.
  • Registration area will be cleaned and disinfected after on-site setup.
  • On-site registration will be self check-in with touchless technology as primary option.
  • In-person assistance counters will have appropriately distanced spacing between the registration attendants and the registrants.
  • Queue lines will have floor markers indicating appropriate spacing at registration counters and kiosks.
Exhibit Hall
  • The exhibit hall will have a separate entrance and exit.
  • Sanitizer stations will be located throughout the exhibit hall and lobbies.
  • Appropriately spaced floor markers will be placed at key locations around the trade show floor where lines could form (management booths, check-in areas, food and beverage centers, etc.).
  • Highly visible signage promoting health and safety protocols and key CDC guidelines will be strategically placed throughout the event to encourage safety.
  • We will confirm and communicate cleaning protocols to general service contractors and freight management to ensure health safety and cleaning protocols.
Conference Rooms
  • We will limit room occupancy as outlined by local mandates, and building and fire codes.
  • The rooms will have safely distant, staggered seating layouts.
  • Rooms will have designated, unidirectional and separate entrances and exits.
  • Highly visible signage promoting health and safety protocols and key CDC guidelines will be strategically placed throughout the event to encourage safety.
  • Frequent cleaning and disinfection of high-touch items such as tables, chairs, pens, clipboards, etc.
  • Sanitizing stations will be placed near conference rooms for attendee usage.
  • We will provide disposable microphone covers for speakers.
Food and Beverage Safety
  • All food service staff will complete wellness screening prior to reporting to their assigned work area.
  • Masks and gloves will be required for all food service staff.
  • We will replace food stations with boxed meals.
  • When possible, we will create separate entry and exit points to the meal area.
  • Cleaning personnel will continuously disinfect meal areas.
  • Seating areas will be properly distanced.
  • Only wrapped utensils and individually packaged condiments will be provided.
  • Retail locations will have point-of-sale barriers and cashless pay.
