Emily Cohan has ten years of motion graphics and web design experience. In 2012, she founded It’s Great Media, a small design agency that provides affordable, high-quality digital signage content, web design, and other marketing materials to small businesses everywhere. Cohan leads monthly workshops in Santa Cruz on the topics of web design and digital signage. She is currently writing a book, in conjunction with her blog, Pixels and Plaster, which covers examples of commercial interior design that merge with digital signage. Her goal is to revolutionize the way small businesses think about digital signage by producing effective and memorable content. Cohan graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2006, receiving a Bachelor’s in Public Health.
Richard Daugherty joined AVI-SPL in September 2011, bringing over 17 years of extensive experience in graphic design to the digital media solutions group. At AVI-SPL, he creates in various mediums such as fine art illustration, HTML, Flash, Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects. Daugherty has worked with many small businesses as well as large corporations such as McDonald’s Corporate located in Oak Brook, Illinois. Daugherty’s expertise includes creating logos, trade show theme graphics, websites, programming and authoring interactive CD-ROMs and DVDs, creating PowerPoint presentations, Flash animation, 3D Animation and video editing. Daugherty works with clients directly — helping them to achieve their visual needs and goals, seeing every project from concept to a finished product.
