Near Field Communication (NFC) represents an opportunity to extend and enhance the digital signage value proposition. Theresa Billy is an emerging media and NFC delivery consultant with Near Field Connects, a founding member of thinaire and a thought leader in the RFID/NFC space. She has worked across various industry verticals and is currently focused on working with emerging and mobile technology and first movers in the NFC industry, especially in regard to cross ecosystem distribution and deployment. She is committed to defining approaches and developing business intelligence and collaborative partnerships to explore, support and move forward NFC initiatives and implementations as they evolve and has been focused on developing NFC use cases to tap and deliver, mainly in advertising, education and retail/ supply chain management to this point.
Dave Holmes is one of the pioneers in the NFC industry. At Identive, he is currently driving NFC initiatives across the ID infrastructure product offering, as well as building new businesses with mobile solutions and applications that leverage the breadth and depth of Identive’s IP and expertise in NFC and other contactless technologies. Previously, Holmes served as vice president and general manager, Americas for Identive’s SCM Microsystems business unit, where he spearheaded the expansion of SCM’s customer base, streamlined the organization and supported the introduction of a new broad range of RFID contactless infrastructure products. Prior to joining Identive, Holmes spent several years with NXP Semiconductors, where he served as the Americas marketing and business development manager for NFC, contact and contactless reader and security ICs. He also headed up NXP’s contactless services business in the Americas, which included key management and secure application delivery systems.
