DSEG Certification or Renewal Credit: 8
At first glance, a network sounds pretty simple, but complexities lie beneath the surface. Understanding the complex elements is the focus of the Digital Signage Network Expert (DSNE) program. The DSNE covers LANs, WANs, network topology, basic layout and design, different modes and connectivity as well as security and the Pros and Cons of each approach.
Network communications is covered with an understanding of the importance of protocols, bandwidth and transfer rates, ports, and flow via port and bandwidth throttling.
