Digital Signage Expo® Offers Path to Digital Signage Professional Certification
Digital Signage Expo (DSE®) offers industry professionals a path to certification and re-certification under the auspices of the Digital Signage Experts Group (DSEG).
The DSEG is an impartial, agnostic and vendor-neutral organization providing professional industry certifications and recognition for participants at all levels in the digital signage industry. DSEG is served by a board of advisors made up of leading members of the digital signage community, including writers, consultants, trade associations and end users. DSEG Certification programs are embraced and adopted by trade associations and major distributors and manufacturers.
Certification & Renewal Procedures
DSEG certification courses can be taken on-site at the Digital Signage Expo or online at http://www.dseg.org/. Digital Signage Certifications from DSEG include the following:
• Digital Signage Certified Expert (DSCE)
• Digital Signage Display Expert (DSDE)
• Digital Signage Network Expert (DSNE)
• Digital Signage Media and Content Expert (DCME)
Attendees seeking to keep Digital Signage Experts Group certifications current can be awarded Education Renewal Credits (ERC) for attending approved Digital Signage Expo seminars and conferences, taking approved online courses on the DSEG website and taking other approved courses. All seminars at the Expo have been approved by DSEG for 1 ERC per hour of training. In addition, several pre-show conferences also are eligible.
All DSE 2013 attendees taking DSEG-approved certification or certification renewal courses will be issued a downloadable certificate after the show to provide proof of attendance. All DSE 2012 registrants taking approved courses may also obtain letters listing DSEG-approved courses for which they registered.
To request a renewal certificate, please submit your proof of course completion directly to the DSEG via email, at renewal@digitalsignageexperts.org. Be sure to include your name, company name, address and email.
Digital signage industry professionals who hold the DSCE, DSNE, DSDE, DSSP and DCME certifications will need to acquire 15 ERC credits (i.e., 15 additional hours of education) over three years to renew their certifications. The processing fee to renew the certification at the end of three years is $25 (payable to DSEG).

Toward that end, the Digital Signage Federation, the Digital Signage Expo and numerous manufacturers, distributors, resellers and end users have partnered with the Digital Signage Experts Group (DSEG) to bring a comprehensive set of certification programs to the digital signage industry. These courses are designed to bring an individual the education they need, from a fundamental level to in-depth technical training in critical areas of digital signage to professional sales training.
