Running in 55 Dillard’s stores, two media player per location, this digital media network drives content on portrait plasma screens strategically located with the Nygard apparel section. The media network is entirely managed by the Dillard’s team members using Digital View Media’s Remote Transfer content management ASP services. The media is mostly high def content custom designed for the portrait screens by the Dillard’s team. The media network is extremely reliable and runs across many different styles of store infrastructure which can be different from location to location. While the systems communicate their status, health, and media plays every fifteen minutes, major downloads are scheduled in the early am hours so as not to interfere with regular store operations.
This DMN represents the next era of in store media for Dillard’s who are also considering much broader applications for its digital signage initiatives.
