MicroFirst Inc. recently announced that it has completed the creation and installation of gaming system content and digital signage for its first international project at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, Asia’s leading destination for business, leisure and entertainment. MicroFirst created the game-play animation for 1,400 slot machines and digital signage content to be featured on plasma signs around the property, said the company. The integrated resort is being built by Las Vegas Sands Corporation (LVSC) and opened on April 27, 2010, according to the company.
While this is the first international content project for MicroFirst, the company has created gaming system content featured on more than 3,000 slot machines at other LVSC properties including The Venetian and The Palazzo in Las Vegas, and the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, Pa., said the company.
MicroFirst is distinguished in the gaming industry because of its in-depth gaming knowledge and the fact that it creates all graphics, animation, interactive content and audio with an in-house creative team of artists, animators and musicians, said the company. Members of the team draw on their decades of professional experience and educational backgrounds, which includes graduate degrees in fine arts and music composition.
“MicroFirst is very pleased to contribute to the creative excellence that will be on display in the Marina Bay Sands Casino,” said John Scarpa, president of MicroFirst, Oakland, N.J. “Our primary goal is always to create the most exciting animation, utilizing the newest graphics and stirring original music that will elevate the gaming experience for casino guests.”
