Objectives
World Market Center required a system that would deliver a “cable news channel” look, including multiple video and still media regions, animated logo and crawls as well be able to broadcast live concert events during their bi-annual Las Vegas Market trade show, all in high definition.

Harris® Infocaster® was selected because of its broadcast-style approach to digital signage. Infocaster allows templates with multiple regions to be created, video, still and animated images to be layered and high definition output of both content and live event video. InfoCaster’s management and scheduling tools allow for last-minute changes.
Results
Infocaster and the entire digital signage solution performed well during the July 2008 Las Vegas Market, World Market Center’s premier bi-annual event. All of the features were utilized, including the live broadcast of the Rod Steward concert at its Grand Opening throughout World Market Center’s 150-screen network.
Problems/Challenges
None of solutions reviewed could provide the broadcast quality capabilities – in both look and content management functionality – required by World Market Center.
Solutions
The Harris Infocaster product line was chosen because it reflected Harris’ experience in the broadcast marketplace, and provides more creative flexibility and ease-of-use to content designers. Content creation capabilities such as layered video, stills and animation, and content management capabilities such as high-definition and advanced scheduling have resulted in the highest level of broadcast-quality content delivered to 150 screens throughout the World Market Center.
