About Pre-show Events
DSE relies on feedback from attendees and input from its advisory board and educational committees in developing the programming for its seminar program and pre-show events. These individuals, who represent a cross-section of digital signage and digital out-of-home network industry interests, have volunteered their time to help develop a high-quality professional education program for their peers, including recommending the topics listed below for inclusion on the DSE 2018 educational program.
While topics other than those recommended will be considered, the proposal must make a clear case for its inclusion. DSE will give first consideration to proposals that feature end-user presenters, a primary consideration for inclusion in any of the end-user track sessions. Toward that end, we urge vendors to encourage their clients to submit speaking proposals. DSE is also especially interested in proposals from network operators, ad agencies and AV/IT systems integrators willing to share their real-world digital signage communications experience.
Please note that all DSE 2018 pre-show events — with the exception of the Digital Signage Certified Experts (DSCE) programs — will be geared toward advanced topics, reflecting the maturity of the industry and attendee interest in taking their communications networks to the next level and adopting new technologies.

As the premier pre-show event, the Digital Out-of-Home Strategy Summit serves as a meeting place for brand marketers, network operators, as well as ad and creative agencies and covers what each constituent needs to know about digital place-based media and its role in the evolving digital landscape. The conference covers present and future issues and challenges, including how the medium is measured, who sees it, how effective it is, where it’s located, what it costs and where it fits into the media buyer's planning.
The following prospective presentation and panel session topics will also be considered for the DOOH Network Operators track on the Wednesday-Thursday, March 28-29, 2018, conference program.
- Shopper Marketing
- Engagement Strategies
- Revenue-Generating Models
- customer Engagement
- Measurements and Analytics
DIGITAL SIGNAGE GUIDED INSTALLATION TOUR
DSE’s 13th Annual Guided Installation tour will provide customer-facing views and behind-the-scenes insights of some of the best digital signage installations in Las Vegas. While the most conspicuous manifestations of digital signage in the city are the bright lights along the famous Las Vegas Boulevard “Strip,” the 2018 edition of the escorted pre-show coach tour, as in the past, will be distinguished by the variety of installations, both on and off the Strip. Spokespeople representing the venues and the technology are typically on hand to answer questions and speak to the challenges they faced in concept, design and implementation, as well as provide insights into their solutions and results.
DSE is now accepting site recommendations for the 2018 guided tour.
